Increased Standards of Living
Starting in the 1920s, there was an increase in the living standards of americans. This meant that less people were living in poverty, the amount of income was on the rise, and everyday survival became less of a struggle. Of course everyone didn't become millionaires overnight, but people started to live easier. The 'American Dream' was still in the thoughts of most americans which encouraged them to strive for even more success. Now that poverty was declining, it became crucial to help the needy and make sure that the wealth, health, and care for one another was spread throughout.
